Digital compositions sampled from television news and reprocessed with custom C code, using randomness and data disruption as aesthetic material to explore the interplay of signal and noise from Shannon's Information Theory. Fuji Jetgraphix inkjet prints (23 5/8 x 28 5/8 in.)

Equivalents II (1992)

An early text-to-image installation where a phrase typed by the viewer generates an abstract, cloud-like image through a Brownian-motion process seeded by the text, paired with sentiment analysis and a word-matching database. Interactive installation with custom software, screen projections and terminal.

Voice of Sisyphus (2011–2017)

A multimedia projection with four-channel spatialized sound in which custom software "reads" a single black-and-white photograph at 30 fps, sampling pixel clusters and regions of interest to synthesize a continuously performing, real-time audio-visual composition.
