The hugger should be located in a public area accessible to all
regardless of social, economic, or racial background. A public library is a good location. The hugger can be deployed outside only in very safe, clean, vandalism free cities and locations. Another option in rougher areas would be a security guard watching the hugger around the clock.

It is important that the hugger is not defaced. A punctured or graffitied hugger would not be a desired thing to embrace or be embraced by. The hug machine should be weighted such that it is not possible to tip it over.
